Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar spoke briefly to the press after voting in Yola North, Adamawa state’s north-eastern district.
The 76-year-old PDP presidential candidate was escorted to the head of the line and immediately validated, allowing him to vote.
Following that, he was surrounded by the press, with grown men and women pushing, shoving, and elbowing each other for a shot.
He expressed optimism and expressed confidence that the elections will go smoothly.
