According to official results released by the Nigerian electoral commission, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the opposition PDP, has won the southern oil-rich state of Bayelsa.
Because of logistical issues on Saturday, when the rest of the country voted, voting in some areas of the state was delayed until Sunday.
Mr Abubakar received 68,818 votes, topping Labour Party candidate Peter Obi, who received 49,975, and Bola Tinubu of the ruling APC, who received 42,672.
