Voting in Yola, the capital of the north-eastern state of Adamawa, has been a quiet event with no major glitches, contrary to claims of violence and intimidation around the country.
The state is home to presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar of the opposition PDD, who is one of the race’s frontrunners.

A few polling locations started the process late, resulting in some lines, but voters have had few to no complaints.
Many people have applauded the electoral commission for how the election was conducted in the state.
