Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun are no longer together; she’s called off their engagement almost a year after he proposed, according to TMZ.
According to sources close to the now-divorced couple, the two tried to make things work recently, going “on and off” for a few months, but it just wasn’t right. We’re told that not only have they put their wedding plans on hold, but they’re also no longer a couple.
It’s unclear what caused the split at this time… but neither side is accused of cheating.
The news follows photos of Avril out to dinner with Tyga and a group of friends at NOBU on Sunday night.
We’re told Tyga and Avril seemed at ease with each other and shared a hug in the parking lot before leaving in the same vehicle. According to our sources, the two are good friends and have been for a long time, but there is nothing romantic between them.
Mod’s rep tells us, “They were together and engaged as of 3 days ago when he left for tour, so if anything has changed, that’s news to him.”
Avril and Mod got engaged last March in Paris. He recently released a new album titled “God Save the Teen,” which includes a few songs dedicated to Avril.
Avril and Mod were recently spotted together at a Grammys event… just a few weeks before he left on tour.
