It’s official—the “Zinwe” ship has sunk.
Former Big Brother Naija housemates Zion Ogiefa and Chinwe Elibe opened up about the end of their relationship during the emotional kickoff of the show’s reunion episode on Monday night.
The pair, who were already romantically involved before entering the house in 2024, finally gave fans the clarity they’d been waiting for.
Zion shared that he called things off because, in his words, they were “headed in different directions” and Chinwe, in his view, didn’t fight to change that.
“I felt like we were just no longer aligned,” he said. “And the way she let it all play out made the decision easier.”
But Chinwe wasn’t having it.
She immediately pushed back, calling Zion out for twisting the story. She recounted what she described as the turning point—flying into Lagos to celebrate his birthday, only for him to vanish that night to party with friends, completely ignoring their plans to spend time together.
Frustrated and hurt, Chinwe said she left Lagos the next morning and cut off all contact—blocking Zion on social media and calls.
She added that even though they tried to patch things up afterward, Zion’s repeated disappearing acts made it clear to her that the relationship wasn’t going anywhere.
“What you won’t do,” she said, turning to him, “is sit here and lie on me. You could’ve just told the truth. You didn’t break up with me, Zion—I walked away.”
It was a moment. Raw, tense, and all too real.
