Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham clinched the title of the best La Liga player for the 2023/2024 season at the awards ceremony held in Sardinia.
In his debut season with Real Madrid, the former Dortmund star played a pivotal role, contributing 19 goals that ultimately led his team to lift the League trophy.
The winner of this prestigious award is determined by a combination of fan votes, input from club captains, and assessments from a panel of experts.
Bellingham emerged victorious in the final voting, surpassing other notable contenders such as Kubo (Real Sociedad), Griezmann (Atlético de Madrid), Dovbyk (Girona), Kirian (UD Las Palmas), Lewandowski (Barcelona), Vinicius Jr. (Real Madrid), Isco (Real Betis), Aleix García (Girona), and Sorloth (Villarreal).
Unable to attend the gala, Bellingham expressed his gratitude in a message: “Thank you for this award, it is an honor to receive it. Sorry for not being present as I am preparing for the Champions League final. I dedicate it to my teammates, the coaching staff, and most importantly, to the fans of the best club in the world. It is a pleasure every time I play for this team. Go Madrid!”.
Additionally, Bellingham secured his place in the La Liga 2023/24 ideal team, alongside his Real Madrid teammates Carvajal, Rüdiger, Valverde, and Vini Jr. The rest of the star-studded lineup includes Unai Simón, Ronald Araujo, Miguel Gutiérrez, Aleix García, Gundogan, Isco, Savio, Griezmann, Lewandowski, and Dovbyk.
