Bimbo, the beloved spouse of well-known vehicle dealer IVD, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, has passed away. Her sister announced her departure a few hours earlier on social media.
Bimbo was taken to the hospital this week after being injured badly in a violent altercation at their home in Lagos’ Megamound Estate. According to sources, Bimbo confronted her husband IVD about the ongoing beatings she was receiving on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, and a fight erupted.
Their home was burned down as a result of the altercation. Bimbo allegedly received severe burns and had to be transported to the intensive care unit, while IVD allegedly managed to escape with only minor injuries. She sadly lost the fight to survive.
Announcing Bimbo’s passing on social media, her sister wrote;
”Bimbo is gone-Bimbo is gone-My sister is gone
The fire is burning me haaaaaaaaa
IVD you killed my only sister

In another post, she wrote;
”Abimbolaaaaa, My Bobby, this was never our agreement
Unspoken words you’ve left behind
Undone things we’ll never do together why why why
You have left me heartbroken
Perfect peace has fallen upon your head
A taste of sorrow we have been fed with…….
I will really miss you if you can hear me pls wake up Bobby
Till we meet again”
After years of physical abuse from her husband and the father of her five children, she passed away.
In May 2019, Bimbo reportedly came to after her husband allegedly beat her into a coma while she was pregnant. At the time, she was eight months along.
Then, on October 4, 2020, IVD aired a video of him making up with his wife, only days after she published an exposé detailing how she had reportedly been the victim of domestic abuse from him for 19 years.
