Bobrisky, the well-known crossdresser whose real name is Okuneye Idris, was detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos State. A reliable source confirmed that Bobrisky’s case is currently under review, with further instructions awaited.
According to the source, Bobrisky was arrested by officials from the Nigeria Immigration Service while attempting to leave the country through the Seme border. After the arrest, he was brought to the FCID for custody.
The source shared, “He was brought in around 10 p.m. on Monday after being apprehended at the border. He remains in detention at the FCID, Alagbon.”
Mayegun Aminat, a spokesperson for the FCID, confirmed this during an interview, stating, “Yes, Bobrisky is in our custody, and we are awaiting authorization to keep him here.”
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, also issued a statement regarding the situation. Udo noted that Okuneye was flagged as a person of interest due to recent public concerns.
He explained, “Bobrisky was intercepted at the Seme Border during an attempt to exit Nigeria. He is currently undergoing questioning and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further actions. The NIS remains committed to maintaining professionalism in securing the nation’s borders.”
