Official results show that Nigeria’s ruling party candidate, Bola Tinubu, has won the presidential election in northwestern Jigawa state.
He received 421,390 votes, while his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar, received 386,587.
Peter Obi of Labour received 1,889 votes.
The results were announced on Monday night at the national collation center in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
