Bruno Fernandes Reportedly Names His Price Amid Saudi Move Rumors
Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes is turning heads—not just for his play on the pitch, but now for what it might take to lure him away.
The Portuguese midfielder is said to be open to a move to Saudi side Al-Hilal, but he’s reportedly set a high bar before any deal gets done.
Sources close to the situation suggest Fernandes is asking for a deal worth £25 million per year over three seasons, plus an extra £7 million in bonuses tied to performance. Meanwhile, Al-Hilal has responded with a four-year offer at £21 million annually but without any bonus clauses—leaving the two sides at a temporary impasse.
Even so, the Saudi club remains eager to strike a deal with Manchester United if the terms can be aligned.
Adding more buzz to the situation, Fernandes’ national teammate and Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves has voiced support for a reunion in Saudi Arabia. In an interview with A Bola, Neves spoke glowingly of his countryman.
“Portugal is full of talent. I’d love to have anyone from the national team on my side,” Neves said, subtly making his case for Fernandes to join him.
The interest in Fernandes isn’t surprising. Since arriving at Old Trafford in 2020, he’s become a cornerstone of the squad—clocking nearly 100 goals and close to the same number of assists in just under 300 appearances.
While United has yet to make a formal decision about his future, manager Ruben Amorim confirmed the midfielder has left the door open for an exit if the club feels it’s time for a change.
Now, with his contract demands on the table and support coming from familiar faces in Saudi Arabia, the spotlight is on Al-Hilal. Will they meet his terms and seal what could be a blockbuster move this summer? Only time will tell.
