Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, recently shared a heartfelt birthday message to his daughter, Uloaku, marking her 25th birthday with a blend of love and tough love.
Taking to social media, the actor expressed his pride in Uloaku’s growth and outlined his hopes for her future. In his message, he congratulated her and urged her to take a moment for reflection on her journey so far. He wrote:
“My dear daughter, Uloaku (house of wealth), congratulations on turning 25. From little Valerie to the remarkable young woman you are now, as I prayed for you this morning, today should be a time to reflect on what to embrace, what to let go of, and what to learn from,” he shared.
Known for his discipline and strong work ethic, Kanayo acknowledged his daughter’s frustrations with his frequent travels due to his busy acting career. He explained that his job often requires him to be on the move, but he reassured her that his dedication to his craft keeps him relevant and in demand. “I know you always say, ‘You’re always traveling and hardly home.’ But Uloaku, great actors are always traveling because we’re constantly hired. Thank God I’m still active. Please try to bear with me.”

Setting clear expectations for Uloaku, he urged her to make a decisive life choice by the time she turns 27. “Before 2027, I want you to either walk down the aisle, pursue your PhD, or move out on your own. Simple as that,” he declared.
