During her interview with Speedy Morman, Cardi B opened up about various aspects of her life. She revealed why she chose not to officially release her remix to “Munch (Feelin’ U)” since Ice Spice’s rise to fame.
According to Complex, during the episode of ‘360 With Speedy,’ Cardi addressed the rumors surrounding her recording a remix for the song alongside Central Cee. She explained, “I don’t know about Central Cee, but I did work on something for Ice Spice, but I ultimately decided not to release it. I wasn’t satisfied with how it turned out.” Cardi expressed her love for the track but admitted dissatisfaction with her own performance, particularly on a drill beat, which she found challenging. She confessed, “I felt like my aggressive style didn’t quite fit the vibe, and I didn’t want to ruin the song. I didn’t want to disappoint the fans or tarnish the track’s reputation. I struggled to find my flow on the beat, and it just didn’t feel right. People underestimate how difficult it is to master drill music.”
Cardi emphasized her strength in aggression over sensuality and acknowledged the challenge of adapting to a drill beat. She concluded, “I didn’t want to compromise the quality of the song with a subpar verse. It was a tough decision, but I had to prioritize the integrity of the music.”
