Cardi B Cleared of Criminal Charges After Mic-Tossing Incident.
In a recent announcement on August 3rd, it was revealed that Cardi B will not face any criminal charges related to an incident where she flung a microphone into the crowd during a concert. The incident occurred in Las Vegas on July 29th, after an audience member threw a beverage at her during her performance.
Following the viral video of the incident, Cardi B’s lawyers, Drew Findling, David Chesnoff, and Richard Schonfeld, received news that the investigation had been halted. They expressed their gratitude to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept. for their prompt resolution of the matter.
A police report was filed a few days after the incident by the concert attendee who got drenched. Though the statement didn’t directly name Cardi B, it referenced the same location as her performance venue that weekend.
Surprisingly, the microphone that was flung into the crowd was listed for sale on eBay for $500. The original owner, Scott Fisher, confirmed its authenticity, citing the white “MAIN” tape at the base. The microphone is currently up for auction with bids reaching $99,900.
The eBay listing states, “This is the mic that has been seen all over the country flying into the crowd after Cardi was splashed with some liquid. The mic still works, as I tested it when it came back to the audio shop this afternoon [July 31]. If you ever wanted to use it, you would still need a receiver, which is not part of the auction. I will also include a letter stating this is the actual microphone shown in all the videos being shown nationwide.”
