Cardi B’s Infamous Microphone from Las Vegas Incident Goes up for Auction.
Following a memorable incident at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas, Cardi B’s microphone, which she threw into the crowd, is now up for auction on eBay.
During her performance, Cardi B requested to be sprayed with water due to the intense Vegas heat. However, one fan took it too far by throwing a cup of liquid and ice at the star. In response, Cardi B threw her microphone into the crowd.
The microphone, originally valued at $1,000, belongs to a Vegas-based company that supplies audio equipment to local clubs. Its owner, Scott Fisher, confirmed that the microphone was easily identifiable post-incident, thanks to the white “MAIN” tape at the base. Surprisingly, despite being thrown, the microphone remains functional and can still be used by the auction winner with their own receiver.
The eBay listing reads, “This is the mic that has been seen all over the country flying into the crowd after Cardi was splashed with some liquid. The mic still works, as I tested it when it came back to the audio shop this afternoon [July 31]. If you ever wanted to use it, you would still need a receiver, which is not part of the auction. I will also include a letter stating this is the actual microphone shown in all the videos being shown nationwide.”
But the auction isn’t just about profit. Scott Fisher decided to do something good with the sale. He pledged that 100% of the profits from the auction will be evenly split between two charities. The first charity is a local Las Vegas organization called Friendship Circle Las Vegas.
As of now, the highest bid for the microphone stands at an astounding $85,000 after 61 participants joined the auction. The news of the auction and the microphone’s intriguing backstory have clearly piqued the interest of many.
Meanwhile, the person who was allegedly hit by the microphone is pursuing legal action against Cardi B. According to TMZ, the rapper is now involved in a pending battery case.
Despite the legal matters, Cardi B continues to make waves in the music world. She recently collaborated with her husband, Offset, for their latest track, “JEALOUSY,” which serves as a direct response to their critics. The single samples Three 6 Mafia’s “Jealous A** B**ch” and showcases the couple’s resilience in the face of adversity.
