Chima, a talented Nigerian singer, emerged as the winner of the ninth season of Nigerian Idol. His victory was announced during the show’s finale on Sunday.
Chima, along with Lammy and Chioma, made it to the final round of Nigerian Idol season 9. They showcased their singing prowess in a bid to win the prestigious title.
Nigerian Idol, known as the local version of the globally acclaimed Idol series, concluded its latest season today, with Chima clinching the top prize.
Each finalist delivered standout performances, aiming to impress both the judges and the audience. Chioma wowed with renditions of Jodie’s “Kuchi Kuchi” and Jennifer Hudson’s “One Night Only,” while Chima moved the audience with Dare Art Alade’s “Not the Girl” and Stevie Wonder’s “As.” Lammy also received praise for her heartfelt performances of 2baba’s “African Queen” and Alexander Burke’s “Hallelujah.”
Victory Gbakara had won the previous edition of Nigerian Idol.
