Chioma Adeleke, also known as Chef Chioma, recently shared insights into how she crossed paths with her husband, Davido, during their university days. In a throwback Q&A video with her followers, Chioma revealed that their introduction happened through mutual friends.
She recounted, “I met him when I was in school. My friend used to date his friend, so from there it just happened.”
Meanwhile, Davido, the acclaimed Afrobeats artist, reaffirmed his status as a global leader in the genre during a recent interview with Billboard’s Nadine Graham. When the interviewer mentioned his leadership in Afrobeats in the United States, Davido interjected, stating that he leads “everywhere.”
Expressing his anticipation for the release of “nothing but good music,” Davido emphasized his global influence, noting that his songs even reach individuals in prison.
Currently, Davido is working on two albums, one tailored for the African audience and the other targeted at the American audience. He highlighted his favorite collaboration as ‘2 AM’ with Casanova and Tory Lanez, emphasizing how the track brought together Canadian, Nigerian, and American cultures seamlessly.
