Since the rise of Verzuz, the names Chris Brown and Usher have been inextricably linked. Many R&B fans have concluded that in a song-for-song competition, they are the best match. There didn’t appear to be any tension between the two until last night (May 5), when Hollywood Unlocked claims the R&B heavyweights got into a heated argument. Attendees claim that the Usher-hosted surprise birthday party was pleasant until Chris Brown became disrespectful to Teyana Taylor.
Individuals from both camps began to intervene before Brown allegedly referred to Usher as a “coward” and stormed out of the event. According to Hollywood Unlocked, Usher followed Brown to correct the situation, but Brown’s team jumped him, leaving him with a bloody nose.
Usher has recently stated that R&B is not extinct. During his appearance on “Big Boy’s Neighborhood,” he discussed how to generate buzz for the genre. A spat with Chris Brown was not on his list of possible solutions. Ushers are typically the people who bring people together. For the past year, his residency in Las Vegas has been a hot topic on social media.

Many of the music industry’s biggest names were in Las Vegas this weekend for Usher’s annual Lovers and Friends festival. Before the celebration turned sour, Mario, Bow Wow, and many others were present. There are numerous videos of the two singers showing each other affection prior to the alleged incident.
So far, neither camp has made any further statements about the alleged incident. Given the history of both parties, there will most likely be no further comment on the matter.
