In a statement, the company’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, explained that this price cut is part of their effort to make transportation more affordable for Nigerians celebrating Christmas and New Year.
Additionally, the refinery is introducing an innovative offer where customers can get an extra litre of petrol on credit for every litre purchased with cash. This credit option is supported by guarantees from Access Bank, First Bank, and Zenith Bank.
Last month, the refinery had reduced its petrol price to ₦970 per litre, and the latest discount underscores its commitment to supporting Nigerians during challenging times.
“As part of our holiday support initiative, we are lowering the price of PMS to ₦899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM. This festive discount aims to reduce transportation costs for Nigerians,” Chiejina stated.
He also thanked Nigerians for their continued support and reiterated the refinery’s dedication to providing high-quality petroleum products that are both affordable and environmentally friendly.
Highlighting the refinery’s impact, Chiejina noted that their operations have put an end to Nigeria relying on substandard and blended imported fuel, which has previously harmed human health, machinery, and the environment.
With a production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, Dangote Refinery continues to play a vital role in ensuring Nigerians have access to premium, reliable fuel.
