Renowned Nigerian comedian, Ayodeji Makun, popularly known as AY, has unfortunately suffered a significant loss due to a fire that engulfed his residence in Lagos during the past weekend. A video circulating on social media vividly portrays the distressing incident that occurred on Sunday, August 6, 2023, where flames consumed AY’s Lagos home. The fire had engulfed the roof of the multi-story building, presenting a dire situation. However, the comedian took to Instagram on Monday, August 7, to reassure his followers that he and his family are safe and unharmed.
Grace Makun, AY’s sister-in-law, took to her own social media account on Monday to share the aftermath of the incident. She expressed that following their collective prayers and emotional moments, divine mercy was extended upon them.
In her message accompanying the shared video, she conveyed: “Many of you might be curious about the supportive role of @lanremakunevents and @yomicasual in this challenging time. We stood together, shedding tears and seeking solace in prayer, and through these moments, we experienced the benevolence of God as a united family.
