Popular Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu is mourning the loss of his beloved mother, who recently passed away.

He wrote, “My dearest mother has gone to be with the Lord. Mama Gee, you will be dearly missed. Rest in peace.”

In another development, content creator Folorunsho Olayinka, better known as Finest, has shared new details surrounding the death of fellow comedian Adetola Samad, popularly known as Sanku.
According to Finest, Sanku passed away inside a Lexus RX 350 SUV that he had yet to fully pay for.
Speaking during a TikTok livestream on Monday, Finest revealed that he personally stood as a guarantor when Sanku purchased the car — a 2012 model worth ₦25.4 million — from an Ilorin-based dealer, JJ Motors Empire and Services Limited.
He said the late comedian initially paid ₦7 million as a down payment on June 5, 2025, as shown on the official receipt, and continued making payments in instalments until he had cleared ₦12.28 million, leaving a balance of over ₦13 million at the time of his death.
The revelation has stirred mixed reactions online, as fans continue to mourn Sanku’s untimely passing while expressing concern over the financial struggles he faced before his demise.
