A man allegedly tried to sneak onto Rihanna’s property to ask for her hand in marriage, prompting cops to be called.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Page Six on Thursday that the man was arrested for trespassing at her Beverly Hills home around 12:30 p.m.
According to TMZ, the man traveled all the way from South Carolina to propose to the R&B star before his plans were thwarted by her security detail.
Rihanna’s team immediately called the cops, and the man, who was dressed in a bright red hoodie and sweatpants, was led away in handcuffs.
However, because the unidentified man did not proceed beyond Rihanna’s driveway, he was simply questioned and later released.
It’s unclear whether Rihanna, who is expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky, was at home at the time of the disturbance.
Rihanna’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
This isn’t the first time the singer has had unexpected visitors show up at her door.
Eduardo Leon was arrested in 2018 after allegedly breaking into the Grammy winner’s Hollywood Hills home and waiting for over 12 hours.
Fortunately, Rihanna was out of town at the time, and her assistant discovered Leon hiding out.
Leon allegedly told cops that he was there to have sex with the singer.
He was later charged with stalking, burglary, vandalism, and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest, but he did not serve any jail time.
Leon was sentenced to five years probation and forced to enter a mental health program despite pleading guilty.
A criminal protection order was also issued against the “Disturbia” singer, 35.
