Dara Speaks Out on Allegations from Ex-Husband Ijoba Lande
Darasimi, the estranged wife of comedian Ijoba Lande, has responded to accusations of infidelity, dismissing claims that she was romantically involved with multiple men in the entertainment industry.
During an interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers, Dara addressed the allegations, specifically denying an affair with Nollywood actor Baba Tee. She clarified that during a Truth or Dare game initiated by her friend Mary Gold, she merely sat on Baba Tee’s lap and nothing more happened.
Her response follows Ijoba Lande’s viral interview, where he accused her of being involved with over 21 entertainers and claimed she left him after he confronted her about her alleged actions.
“Infidelity Was Not the Reason for Our Breakup”
Dara refuted the claims, insisting that cheating had nothing to do with the end of their marriage.
Recalling the incident with Baba Tee, she explained, “The first time I met him was last July when Mary Gold invited me to visit his house because she wanted him at her movie launch. When we arrived, he didn’t even know I was Lande’s wife. We exchanged greetings, and Mary Gold asked for alcohol, so Baba Tee’s driver went to buy some while we sat in the living room. We didn’t talk until they returned.”
She described how the Truth or Dare game escalated, revealing that Mary Gold encouraged it. “At some point, Mary Gold stripped and got intimate with Baba Tee. I had taken multiple shots of alcohol while they were smoking. Then, Mary Gold dared him to do something with me. He went to get a condom, but I made it clear I wasn’t going that far. I only sat on his lap—nothing more.”
Dara challenged Ijoba Lande to provide proof of his accusations, standing firm in her claim that she never cheated. “I won’t disclose the real reason our marriage ended for now, but it had nothing to do with infidelity,” she concluded.
