Darwin Nunez may be on his way out of Liverpool, with strong signs pointing to a move to Napoli. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Uruguayan striker has given a green light in principle after speaking directly with Napoli’s new manager, Antonio Conte.
Nunez, who arrived at Anfield in 2022 for a record €85 million, is reportedly intrigued by Conte’s plans for the Italian club and open to starting a new chapter in Serie A. With several clubs expressing interest—including teams from Saudi Arabia—Napoli now appears to be leading the race.
Talks between the clubs are ongoing, but Liverpool isn’t letting go easily. The Premier League side is reportedly holding out for a hefty fee, and negotiations are now focused on the final price tag and Nunez’s salary.
While nothing is set in stone yet, Napoli is actively working to secure a deal, hoping to beat out competition and convince both Liverpool and the player’s camp to seal the move. However, Saudi clubs could still complicate things, as they remain eager to swoop in with big offers of their own.
Meanwhile, Liverpool is staying active in the market. Romano has also revealed that young left-back Milos Kerkez is on the verge of joining the club in a deal worth around £40 million. Kerkez and his family are already on their way to Merseyside, with a medical set for Tuesday, June 24.
With Arne Slot stepping into the managerial role, the Reds are clearly wasting no time reshaping their squad ahead of the upcoming season
