Afrobeats superstar David “Davido” Adeleke has revealed that his sixth studio album is set to drop in 2026, a release that will coincide with his 33rd birthday.
The announcement came during a private post-show gathering in Atlanta, where he spent time with family, close friends, and members of his 30BG circle.
Speaking at the event, the With You hitmaker expressed deep gratitude for the support he has received over the years.
“We thank God, and we’re going to keep pushing. This is only the beginning—2026 has so much in store. Thank you all for tonight. Get home safely, and keep me in your prayers. I’m working on a new album, and it’s already in motion. Next year will be big for all of us,” he shared.
Earlier in April, Davido released 5ive, his fifth studio project. The album has been widely celebrated, with his collaboration with Omah Lay, With You, earning a nomination in the Best African Music category at the 68th Grammy Awards.

Davido, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr are among the leading African acts earning major recognition ahead of the 2026 award year.
5ive features 17 tracks that merge Afropop with R&B, Amapiano, dancehall, and 3-Step. The project mirrors Davido’s growth as an artist and as a person, including a touching tribute to his late son.
The album boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators from Nigeria and around the world, including Chris Brown, Omah Lay, Victoria Monét, Becky G, Shenseea, YG Marley, Alhanislam, Musa Keys, Tayc, Dadju, Odumodublvck, Chike, and Victony.
Upon release, 5ive achieved huge commercial success. It opened at No. 1 on Spotify’s global chart, landed at No. 37 on the Billboard 200, and climbed to No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart.
Davido took the project on the road with his 5ive Alive World Tour, which saw him perform across North America, Europe, and major cities in Nigeria, selling out several venues along the way.
With a career stacked with hits and influence, Davido has delivered several acclaimed bodies of work, including A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and Timeless (2023).
His rise began in 2012 with Dami Duro, the breakout track from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo. Today, at 33, he also leads DMW, the record label he founded in 2016, which continues to shape the next generation of African music stars.
