The Democratic Republic of Congo Removes Visa Requirement for Kenyan Travelers
In a significant development, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) has decided to eliminate the visa requirement for Kenyan travelers. The announcement was made by DR Congo’s Director General of Migration, Roland Kashwantale Chihoza, in a statement released on Wednesday.
This move is a reciprocal response to Kenya’s recent decision to waive similar visa requirements for Congolese citizens visiting the country. Kenya’s decision to remove these barriers aims to facilitate the free movement of people and stimulate trade within the East African Community (EAC).
It’s worth noting that DR Congo joined the East African Community as its seventh member just last year, signaling a commitment to closer regional integration and cooperation among member states.
