Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has spoken out against rumors that Matthew Ekeinde, husband of renowned actress Omotola Jalade, gifted her a luxury car. These rumors, sparked by a TikTok blogger, suggested that Destiny had an affair with Ekeinde, leading to the lavish gift she reportedly received on her recent birthday.
Taking to her Instagram page, Destiny firmly denied the allegations, expressing frustration over ongoing attempts to tarnish her reputation. She clarified that the viral photo of her with Ekeinde was taken over four years ago, and the context of the image had been completely misconstrued.
In her video, Destiny stated, “If you try to block someone’s blessings while expecting to grow, it won’t work. People have always talked negatively about me, but the truth is, I’ve worked hard for 99.9% of what I have. I don’t rely on anyone else’s money.”
She went on to explain her love for cars, saying, “Every year, I like to treat myself to a new car on my birthday. But some bitter people decided to dig up an old photo of me with Omotola’s husband. Let me set the record straight: that picture was taken over four years ago when he was the pilot on a flight I was on. We took a selfie out of respect, and that was it.”
