Commenting on Buhari’s demeanor, the Ooni shared, “He looks 30 years younger! He’s vibrant, relaxed, and radiating positivity. It’s heartwarming to see him in such great health.”
The monarch highlighted Buhari’s unique legacy as both a former military and civilian leader, acknowledging his contributions to Nigeria’s unity and progress. He noted, “No leader can satisfy everyone, but President Buhari made significant strides in steering the country forward.”
The Ooni emphasized the importance of maintaining dialogue between leaders to promote unity and growth. He expressed his admiration for Buhari’s humility and dedication, describing the meeting as more than a courtesy visit but a moment of shared vision for Nigeria’s future.
Buhari warmly welcomed the Ooni and his entourage, which included notable traditional rulers such as Oba Joseph Adewole, the Ajero of Ijero Kingdom; Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, the Oore of Otun Ekiti; and Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, the Alara of Ilara Epe. During their time together, Buhari expressed gratitude for the visit, saying, “It’s always a privilege to host Kabiyesi and other royal fathers. Let’s continue to pray for our country’s unity and strength. My faith in Nigeria remains unshaken.”
