In a recent interview with The New York Post, former U.S. President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on Meghan Markle, calling her “terrible.”
Trump, who was speaking about Prince Harry’s potential deportation, said, “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
These remarks come as Prince Harry faces legal challenges surrounding his U.S. visa. The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), questioning Prince Harry’s immigration status. The group is also calling for the release of his immigration records, pointing to his admission in his memoir Spare that he used substances like cocaine, cannabis, and psychedelics.
Under U.S. immigration law, past drug use can affect visa eligibility, raising questions about whether Prince Harry was fully transparent in his application. Nile Gardiner of the Heritage Foundation stated, “Anyone who applies to the United States has to be truthful on their application, and it is not clear that is the case with Prince Harry.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to California in 2020 after stepping down from their roles as senior members of the British royal family.
Trump’s comments are part of his broader criticism of the couple, which includes accusing them of receiving special treatment from the Biden administration. He has also made remarks mocking Prince Harry, claiming he’s “whipped” by Meghan. “I think poor Harry is being led around by the nose,” Trump said.
Meghan and Harry have been outspoken critics of Trump, with Meghan previously calling him “divisive” and “misogynistic” during the 2016 presidential race.
