The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a wanted notice for Gbadebo Adeniyi Adeoye, accusing him of serious financial offenses, including obtaining money under false pretenses, criminal breach of trust, and money laundering.
In their announcement, the EFCC revealed that Adeoye, 56, is from the Ife East Local Government Area in Osun State and currently resides at 15 Hassan Adamu Street, Guzape, in the Federal Capital Territory. They are urging anyone with information about Adeoye or his whereabouts to reach out to their nearest office or contact the agency directly.
In a separate development, the EFCC chairman, Ola Olukoyede, has initiated an investigation into allegations of bribery involving some of the commission’s operatives linked to popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, commonly known as Bobrisky. This investigation was prompted by claims made by social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan. Otse alleged that Bobrisky bribed EFCC officials with ₦15,000,000 to dismiss a money laundering case against him and secure a private apartment during his jail term.
In response, Olukoyede announced that a dedicated team of investigators has been assigned to look into these allegations. Both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan have been invited to the EFCC’s Lagos office for questioning as part of the investigation.
