Georgina Onuoha, a Nollywood actress, has slammed her colleague Chioma Akpotha for assaulting her during voting at her polling unit in Lagos on Saturday.
The presidential election began with 18 candidates vying for Nigeria’s highest office.
Millions of Nigerians went to the polls to vote for their preferred candidates, with celebrities also taking part in the phenomenon.
Akpotha claimed on Instagram that thugs disrupted the election at her polling unit in Eti-Osa LGA, Lagos.
She claimed a woman at the venue “abused and beaten” her.
Akpotha also requested increased security and military intervention at her polling station.
However, in a lengthy Instagram post, Georgina stated that Chioma has no right to complain about electoral violence.
Georgina also claimed that during the 2019 election, Chioma slid into her direct message to warn her not to share posts about people complaining about rigging and violence at polling stations.
She asserted Chioma warned her that it could harm her brand.
Georgina claims it caused a 4-year-old schism between the two. She also called Chioma a “cow shouting” about electoral violence.
Georgina added that she is “glad Chioma had this experience today but came out safe”.

“I know many people are wondering why I am posting or speaking about this now, four years later. Today’s situation reminded me of how she mocked others in private and minimized their suffering. “However, she felt compelled to scream today because she had been directly affected,” she wrote.
“You don’t just show bravery, compassion, or empathy when it directly affects you. Chioma is screaming at the top of her lungs. I hope she’s okay. I wish her luck and hope her vote counts.
Having said that, Chioma had the audacity to tell me four years ago that my post would spark riots and that the election would be free and fair.
“Meanwhile, Monalisa posted videos of people being killed in her hometown of Rivers State, calling on security agents to intervene.
“There were videos of thugs assaulting people and carting away ballot boxes. If you recall, a thug from Okota was nearly killed by voters in Lagos when he attempted to snatch ballots.
“While I was posting those updates, Chioma Chukwu felt compelled to stop me. That I have a reputation to uphold and that the election was peaceful.
“She will never forget my responses to her, and she unfollowed me, as did I. Friendships with people who lack or sell their integrity and dignity for a few personal gains must be ended. I had to cut you off.
“Many of our celebrities are in jeopardy. They are solely concerned with their brands and stomach infrastructure. Today, she’s screaming like a cow for her safety.
“And I bet the last four years have not favored her, hence the change of heart.
“I’m glad she had this experience today but escaped unscathed. I wish her well, and I hope she learns from this experience that you cannot be in bed with the devil and have the moral authority to speak out against it.
“Call out injustice in society when you see it. Don’t sugarcoat it. Don’t just scream when it directly affects you. When it affects others, scream.
“OK, Chioma.” I forgive you for your incompetence four years ago and wish you well. I hope someone gets this message to you if you can’t see it.”
