Eric Many Records has confirmed the release of their artiste, Emuemu Goodnews, also known as Gnewzy, following his six-day abduction.
In a statement, Eric Many Records CEO, Dilly Umenyiora, revealed that the record label contributed to the ransom paid for Gnewzy’s release, though the exact amount was not disclosed.
While expressing gratitude to the police for their efforts, Umenyiora also voiced concerns about certain shortcomings in their response to the situation.
He emphasized the need for more efficient and effective police intervention to ensure the safety of individuals in similar circumstances.
Gnewzy, who was kidnapped on April 29 after a nightclub performance in Delta State, is now receiving medical care as he recuperates from the ordeal.
Eric Many Records pledged to collaborate with authorities to address these issues and enhance responses to future incidents.
