Paul Okoye, widely known as Rudeboy, has reached out to his brothers, Peter Okoye and Jude Okoye, urging them to strengthen their family bond despite their ongoing split. In a heartfelt Instagram livestream, Paul emphasized that their brotherly connection should endure even if their professional collaboration in the music industry comes to an end.
Paul stated, “Even if we’re not making music together, can’t we still be brothers? Our relationship should remain intact, regardless of our professional choices.” He added, “I’ll leave it at that. Thank you. I didn’t say much before, but it’s unfortunate how things have turned out.”
This appeal from Paul comes shortly after Jude Okoye broke his silence on the P-Square split. On August 17, 2024, Jude addressed accusations from Peter Okoye during an Instagram live session, denying claims that he had diverted millions in royalties into a private account.

The family’s tensions have been mounting since Paul publicly announced his departure from P-Square in an interview with City FM. Paul revealed that Peter had shown no interest in continuing with the group and had even allegedly involved the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a bid to have him arrested.
Peter Okoye responded to Paul’s comments on August 12, 2024, via an Instagram open letter. He expressed his frustration over Paul’s criticism, accusing him of diminishing his contributions to P-Square and refuting the claims about EFCC involvement.
In his letter, Peter wrote:
“Dear Paul, I’ve told you many times, I’m not competing with you or anyone else. Yet, your countless interviews discrediting my efforts and contributions to the group we built together are disheartening. You’ve claimed you wrote and sang 99% of all P-Square songs, which is not true.”
