Former Big Brother Nigeria contestant, Francisca Owumi, has sadly passed away after a brief illness, shortly after celebrating her 40th birthday.
Francisca was a prominent figure in the first season of Big Brother Nigeria, which took place in 2006. She finished as the first runner-up in a season that also featured Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who is now the show’s host.
Her family shared the heartbreaking news of her passing on social media, accompanied by a heartfelt message: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
Francisca was well-known for her vibrant personality and energetic dance moves during her time on the show. She competed alongside contestants such as the winner Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, Maureen Osuji, Ify Ejikeme, and the late Joseph Ada.
In 2012, Francisca explored a brief career in music, releasing two singles titled ‘Gbadun You’ and ‘Diva’ under her own record label, Cisca Entertainment. She was also a talented writer, contributing to Revista, an international magazine based in Ghana.
Her loss is deeply felt by her loved ones and fans. May she rest in peace.
