In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Kimiebi Ebienfa, the government highlighted the deep and enduring relationship between Nigeria and the United States.
The statement emphasized the strong cooperation between the two nations in key areas such as governance, sustainable development, and combating terrorism and violent extremism.
Nigeria reaffirmed its commitment to building upon the strategic partnership with the U.S. under President Trump’s leadership. Trump was sworn in as president on Monday during a momentous inauguration ceremony held at the Capitol Rotunda, as the event was moved indoors due to weather conditions.
