The 2026 FIFA World Cup final is to be played on July 19
FIFA released the new international match calendar for 2025- 2030 on Wednesday.
According to the calendar, the March international window will have a two-match window in nine days, and the June international break will have a nine-day, two-match window.
A final international break will take place in November, with a nine-day, two-match window.
The date of the 2026 World Cup final has been set, and the tournament will be the first to feature 12 groups in a 48-team bracket.

“According to the new calendar, the FIFA World Cup 2026 final will be played on Sunday, July 19, 2026, with the mandatory release period beginning on 25 May 2026, following the last official club match on 24 May 2026 (exemptions may apply to the final matches of confederation club competitions until 30 May 2026, subject to FIFA’s approval),” FIFA said. “With 56 days, the total combined number of rest, release, and tournament days remains identical to the FIFA World Cup editions of 2010, 2014, and 2018.”
FIFA also stated that, in addition to the current Club World Cup, they would organize another tournament for football clubs every year.
“This competition will feature the champions of all confederations’ premier club competitions and will culminate in a final to be played at a neutral venue between the winner of the UEFA Champions League and the winner of intercontinental play-offs between the other confederations.
