Frank Ocean will not be performing at Coachella’s second weekend.
Following his controversial performance last Sunday, the singer has withdrawn from his headlining slot at this weekend’s festival. A rep for the singer told Variety that Ocean had a leg injury and that a doctor had advised him not to perform.
“Frank Ocean will not be performing at Coachella Weekend 2,” said the rep.

“In the week leading up to Weekend 1, he suffered a leg injury on festival grounds.” Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still determined to perform, and the show was reworked in 72 hours out of necessity.”
“On doctor’s advice, ARTIST is unable to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg,” the statement continued.
“It was chaotic,” Ocean added. There is some beauty in disorder. It’s not what I intended to show, but I had a good time out there and hope to see you again soon.”

On Sunday, Ocean returned to the Coachella stage for his first live performance in six years. Production issues and mixed reviews marred his performance. Because of the injury, he sustained in a bike accident on the Coachella grounds just days before his set, he had to make last-minute changes to his production.
According to reports, an elevated ice rink was built for Frank’s set, and 100 hockey players were cast for the performance, which was canceled due to his injury. Ocean began his set an hour late and sat for the majority of the performance, which was cut short due to curfew.
According to Variety, Blink-182 will fill his Sunday headlining slot, during which he performed a surprise set during the first weekend.
