Arsenal Set for Major Squad Overhaul This Summer
Arsenal is preparing for a major squad shake-up, with reports suggesting Mikel Arteta plans to offload at least seven players while bringing in four key signings to strengthen the team.
The Gunners are facing another season without a trophy, having already exited the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, while their Premier League title hopes continue to fade.
Currently trailing Liverpool by six points in the title race—a gap that could widen to nine depending on results—Arteta is determined to reinforce his squad in the summer transfer window.
According to reports from the Mirror, the Arsenal boss has already approved the departure of several first-team players.
Who’s Leaving?
🔹 Raheem Sterling and Neto will return to Chelsea and Bournemouth, respectively, as their loan spells conclude. Sterling has struggled, scoring just once in 18 appearances, while Neto has barely featured.
🔹 Thomas Partey, Jorginho, and Kieran Tierney will exit as free agents when their contracts expire.
🔹 Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior are also likely to leave, with both playing limited roles this season.
While these departures won’t bring in huge transfer fees, they will free up wages, allowing Arteta to target reinforcements. The club is reportedly prioritizing a new striker, a defensive midfielder, and a goalkeeper to strengthen the squad ahead of next season.
With a busy summer ahead, all eyes will be on Arsenal as they aim to rebuild and challenge for silverware once again.
