Istanbul football club is on fire, winning their last 17 matches
On matchday 25 of the Turkish Super Lig, Galatasaray defeated Kasimpasa 1-0 thanks to Nicolo Zaniolo’s goal.
For the first half at Nef Stadium, neither team was able to break the deadlock.
Galatasaray has made a new signing. Zaniolo entered the game in the 46th minute and scored a close-range goal in the 57th, assisted by Milot Rashica.
Following the goal, the stadium announcer and fans yelled “Muhammed Zaniolo” several times in tribute to Muhammed Emin Ozkan, 17, who died in the Türkiye earthquake.
Last month, the Istanbul football club presented a Zaniolo-signed jersey to Muhammed Ozkan, the father of Galatasaray fan Muhammed.
Galatasaray, who leads the Super Lig with 60 points from 24 games, has won 17 consecutive games, including three Turkish Cups.
