Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh is once again urging the Nigerian police to release the late singer Mohbad’s body for a proper burial. Expressing her frustration with their sluggishness and lack of care, she emphasizes that it’s time for justice.
Tonto Dikeh points out that she, along with other supporters of Mohbad, has invested significant emotions, time, and love in the pursuit of justice. She insists that this case cannot be ignored or overlooked and calls on the authorities to expedite the process.
“We need Mohbad to have a fitting farewell. We’re weary of the delays and negligence. If nobody steps up, I will. I’ve poured too much of my heart, time, and affection into seeking justice for this not to go through. As QM wisely says, we’ve given the police enough time. This is not a matter to be brushed aside. We demand justice.”
Sharing an update on the singer’s passing, Dikeh conveyed a heartfelt message to Mohbad’s supporters, emphasizing that she, alongside others, has played her part and now entrusts the responsibility of delivering justice to the Nigerian police.
She reassured everyone of her ongoing collaboration with the authorities and maintained a hopeful outlook on achieving justice for Mohbad.
In a poignant note penned last month, Tonto expressed the lingering sorrow in many hearts over Mohbad’s demise. The mother of one disclosed dancing to his tunes and shedding tears, not of pain but inspired by the light he brought that would liberate all.
Professing her love for him, she pledged to ensure that in the upcoming days, he would find peace, securing the justice he deserves.
Recently, Tonto criticized Mohbad’s father for his indiscreet remarks, particularly about exposing his late son’s wife. She found it challenging to extend love or support to him, questioning why he chose online platforms over providing information directly to the authorities.
The philanthropist highlighted how his actions ended up undermining their efforts to demand justice for the departed singer.
