Anthony Joshua is setting his sights on a blockbuster showdown with Tyson Fury and a rematch with IBF champion Daniel Dubois, according to his promoter, Eddie Hearn.
The British-Nigerian heavyweight is eager to reclaim his place at the top after a tough knockout loss to Dubois at Wembley Stadium last year.
Joshua, who recently attended major boxing events in Saudi Arabia—where Agit Kabayel defeated Zhilei Zhang and Joseph Parker triumphed over Martin Bakole—left feeling more motivated than ever.
Hearn shared Joshua’s renewed energy, stating, “Watching those fights sparked something in him. He wants another shot at Dubois, and that’s the fight that makes sense for him—to get back in the title picture.”
While a Dubois rematch is a priority, Joshua is also open to taking on Tyson Fury, who stepped away from boxing following back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk.
“We’d love to fight Fury if he’s interested,” Hearn continued. “If watching those fights reignited his passion, there’s a massive opportunity to create something incredible. But if he stays retired, we respect that.”
With Fury’s future uncertain, another possible opponent for Joshua is Joseph Parker, who previously lost to him in 2018. Sky Sports analyst Johnny Nelson believes Parker could be an exciting alternative, especially if Dubois moves forward with a title unification bout against Usyk.
Originally, Dubois was set to defend his IBF belt against Parker but had to withdraw due to illness. Now, with a potential clash against Usyk on the horizon, Joshua’s next move could shake up the heavyweight division.
