Former Big Brother Naija stars Bisola Aiyeola and Mercy Eke have opened up about how the show gave their careers a serious boost and transformed their lives in ways they never imagined.
At the recent birthday celebration of BBNaija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu in Lagos, both women took a moment to reflect on how far they’ve come since leaving the Big Brother house.
For Bisola, now a successful actress, the show wasn’t the start of her journey—but it definitely hit the fast-forward button.
“I already believed in my talent and knew I’d get there eventually,” she shared. “But Big Brother Naija? That show skyrocketed everything. What might have taken years happened almost overnight.”
Mercy Eke, who made history as the first female winner of the show in 2019, echoed a similar sentiment. According to her, BBNaija didn’t just change her path—it reshaped her entire world.
“Everything about me shifted,” she said. “My name, my brand, my reality—Big Brother Naija flipped the script and gave me a new one. You can literally see the difference.”
Both women credit the platform for giving them visibility, confidence, and a stage to shine brighter than ever.
