Gospel artist Chidinma Ekile has opened up about a deeply moving experience that reshaped her faith and outlook on life.
After a trip to the U.S., Chidinma felt led to spend 40 days in solitude on a mountain, dedicating herself fully to prayer and fasting. The journey, she shared, wasn’t just physical—it was a spiritual awakening filled with raw emotion, powerful encounters, and a test of endurance.
Sleeping under the open sky and spending every moment in prayer and worship, she described the experience as life-altering. “It felt like God was performing surgery on my soul,” she said, adding that material things no longer hold meaning for her.
But the journey wasn’t without darkness. At one point, she said she faced a chilling moment of temptation—standing at the edge of a cliff in the dead of night, hearing a forceful voice urging her to jump.
“I was ready to take that step,” she recalled. “But something unseen held me back. I couldn’t move forward—it was like a barrier stopped me.”
Looking back, Chidinma believes that moment marked a turning point. “The enemy tried to end it, but God said no,” she shared. “He’s not looking for the perfect. He’s looking for the willing.”
Her story is one of survival, surrender, and a deeper walk with God—proof that even in the darkest valleys, grace makes a way.
