Regina Daniels has opened up about her separation from Ned Nwoko, revealing why she never went through a formal divorce process.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the Nollywood star explained that there was never a legal marriage between them, as no court documents were ever signed. Because of that, she said, filing for divorce was never an option — even though she had wanted to end the relationship long ago.
The actress and mother of two reflected on the sacrifices she made during their time together, saying she gave her best years, energy, and career opportunities, and now wants complete freedom from any form of control.
“Let me make this clear,” she wrote. “No matter what you think you spent on me, it can never match the value of the time, effort, and sacrifices I gave. I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us. There were no court documents, nothing binding. So please, Ned — leave me alone. Marriage isn’t by force, and love can’t be forced.”
Regina emphasized that her decision to move on should be respected, making it clear that she’s ready to reclaim her independence and focus on her own growth.
