Bucci Franklin Clears the Air on Sunshine Rosman Rumours
Actor Bucci Franklin has finally addressed the whispers about his supposed romance with fellow actor, Sunshine Rosman.
The buzz started after the two, who both starred in AY Makun’s The Waiter, shared a kiss on stage during the movie’s premiere. What looked like a playful moment quickly set tongues wagging, with fans speculating that something more was going on between them.
Franklin, however, has now set the record straight. In a recent conversation, he explained that the kiss was nothing more than an extension of their roles in the film. “Confirmed from where? I didn’t get that memo,” he joked. “There was a kiss because we were both an item in the movie. I’d say I’m her biggest fan, and I really enjoy working with her.”
He went on to praise Rosman, noting her Nigerian heritage and saying he would love to collaborate with her again on future projects.
Interestingly, the two have since reunited on Kemi Adetiba’s Netflix crime thriller To Kill a Monkey, where Franklin played Oboz and Rosman took on the role of Amanda “Sparkles.”
Beyond the chatter about his personal life, Franklin also reflected on his journey as an actor. He shared how his roots in church drama shaped both his craft and his faith. Performing in front of congregations as a teenager, he said, gave him the confidence and grounding that still fuel his career today.
