Tanzanian music sensation Juma Jux recently opened up about the serendipitous encounter that led him to meet his wife, Priscilla Ojo. It all started at a Rwandan airport when Jux missed his flight and couldn’t secure a business-class seat on the next available one. As he passed through the business class, he caught a glimpse of Priscilla, who couldn’t help but laugh at his misfortune.
From that moment, Jux felt an instant connection. However, winning her over wasn’t as simple as it seemed. Despite exchanging numbers, Priscilla didn’t text or call him. Undeterred, Jux took the initiative and texted her after another encounter—but once again, he was met with silence.
Despite the initial rejection, Jux didn’t give up. As their paths continued to cross, his feelings for Priscilla deepened, and he soon realized that she was the one for him. Reflecting on the journey, he shared, “From the moment I saw her in Rwanda, I knew something was special. We were just two people, unaffected by anything around us. I didn’t care about my fame or brand—she was my focus. And in God’s perfect timing, everything fell into place.”
This intimate moment was shared during a surprise second engagement party in Tanzania, just days after Jux and Priscilla, the daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, had their Islamic traditional wedding in Dar es Salaam last Friday. The couple also tied the knot in a court ceremony shortly after.
