Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola has voiced her concern over the growing insecurity in Nigeria, particularly for families living in affected areas.
In a heartfelt post on social media, she admitted that while leaving the country sometimes crosses her mind, she cannot do so because her loved ones remain in Nigeria. “Even if I could leave, I have family here, for God’s sake. This is my home. This is where I am from,” she wrote.
Her remarks come amid a spate of violent incidents, including recent killings in Kwara State and the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State, which have left communities on edge.
Tragically, just a day after gunmen attacked a Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, another attack was reported. This time, four rice farmers were kidnapped in Bokungi Village, Edu LGA, while working on their fields.
According to local sources, the assailants arrived unexpectedly, surrounding the farmers as they harvested. “It has been confirmed that bandits struck again at Bokungi under the Lafiagi Emirate. Four people were abducted. Details are still emerging,” a community member said.
The incidents highlight the growing fears among Nigerians as attacks on communities continue.
