It has been alleged that the Inspector General of Police(IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has escaped several attempts that could have risked his life.
According to the Executive Director of Peace Watch, Madam Nyonkopa Daniels, these attempts to risk the IGP’s life are a result of his approach and style of managing the Police service.
On Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM’s frontline, she stated that people tried to poison the IGP but failed on several occasions.
She said, ”Do you know that there have been four failed attempts on the life of Dampare? Four times they have attempted to poison him but were unsuccessful. They attempted to poison him because he no longer entertained indiscipline and misconduct on the part of police officers.”
