Big Brother Naija Season 10 first runner-up, Dede Ashiogwu, has cleared the air on claims that regional bias affected the outcome of the show.
The season’s grand finale, held on Sunday, saw Imisi crowned winner and walking away with a ₦150 million prize. However, shortly after the announcement, Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to the Delta State Governor, accused the organisers of manipulating the results.
In a post shared on 𝕏, Ossai alleged that Dede was denied victory because the organisers didn’t want another contestant from Delta State to win after Kellyrae’s triumph in the previous season. He insisted that Dede was the rightful winner and even hinted at possible legal action, claiming the votes were tampered with.
Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony on Tuesday at MultiChoice Nigeria’s office in Lagos, Dede dismissed the allegations, maintaining that Imisi’s win was genuine and well earned.
“I don’t believe it had anything to do with region,” she said. “It all came down to the votes. She got the highest, and she deserved the win.”
The reality TV star also shared her plans for the future, revealing her interest in pursuing a career in entertainment, especially acting and other creative ventures.
“Everything amazing, everything new, everything unexpected—that’s what I’m bringing,” Dede said confidently, expressing excitement for what lies ahead.
