Gayle King defended the new documentary series “Harry & Meghan,” which follows Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, asserting that it is not a “reality show.”

King, who is acquainted with Markle, 41, and Harry, 38, through her closest friend Oprah Winfrey, is aware of the challenges the couple has faced while serving as members of the British royal family.
King said that she was hopeful that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would make peace with the rest of the royal family a few weeks after Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Sept. 8 at the age of 96. After Her Majesty’s funeral on September 19, she said to “Extra,” “There have been attempts on both sides to sort of make this right.” “We’ll see,”
Though it’s common for “large families” to “go through turmoil” on a regular basis, the author of “Note to Self: Inspiring Words From Inspiring People” acknowledged that it “remains to be seen” whether the royal division would ever be resolved.
“Will they be drawn apart or will they be drawn closer together?” stated King. “I don’t know. Although I don’t have firsthand knowledge of that, I will say that it was heartening to see Harry supporting his family.
