Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) announced a partnership with Everstream Analytics, a supply chain mapping, and risk analytics firm, to address global supply issues using artificial intelligence (AI). By integrating AI technology into its system, JLR aims to monitor its supply chain in real time and safeguard the production of current models as well as upcoming electric vehicles (EVs).
Through this collaboration, JLR has already been able to prevent disruptions at international freight ports, ensuring timely delivery of vehicles to customers. By leveraging AI, predictive analytics, machine learning, and human expertise, Everstream’s technology helps identify and track emerging incidents worldwide, including natural disasters, strikes, data breaches, and export challenges.
In today’s post-pandemic world, where supply chains face increasing complexities, numerous startups and established logistics companies are capitalizing on the AI and machine learning industry. Their solutions enable businesses to minimize disruptions and maintain efficient operations.
JLR experienced significant setbacks due to the global shortage of semiconductor chips, which compelled major automakers to limit the production of certain models. However, the company has rebounded in the past two quarters, showcasing profitability and contributing to two-thirds of Tata Motors’ overall revenue in the most recent quarter.
